Compare 2 Laptops with Intel Core i9-13900H
The Intel Core i9-13900H is a high-end processor for mobile devices and is based on the Raptor Lake architecture. The model, which has been available since 04.01.2023, is manufactured using the Intel 7 process in 10 nm. As in the Alder Lake generation, Intel processors of the Raptor Lake generation work with a combination of performance and efficiency cores. The i9-13900H has 6 performance and 8 efficiency cores. This means it has 10 cores less than the Intel Core i9-13900HX. Despite the lower number of cores, the performance cores of the Intel Core i9-13900H, like those of the Intel Core i9-13900HX, can run at a clock rate of up to 5.40 GHz in Turbo Boost in the Turbo clock frequency. However, the Intel Core i9-13900H only consumes 45 watts in the base power consumption. Together with the Intel Core i9-13900K, which is not suitable for mobile devices, this makes it the fastest 45 watt CPU from Intel.
The total of 14 cores support hyperthreading and can process 20 threads. A cache of 24 MB Intel Smart Cache is available, which should ensure good speed. With its higher clock rates, the Intel Core i9-13900H outperforms its predecessor, the Intel Core i9-12900H.
Versatile CPU
The Intel Core i9-13900H is a powerful high-end and gaming processor. It is designed for performance and is not suitable for very light, slim notebooks. It is usually combined with a dedicated graphics card and requires good cooling in order to deliver its full performance.
In heavier gaming notebooks, such as Lenovo Legion models, the Intel Core i9-13900H can be combined with powerful gaming GPUs, such as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with 8GB GDDR6. Due to its high performance, it is also used in workstations, such as Lenovo Thinkpad models, where it is used with slightly lighter GPUs, such as the NVIDIA RTX A2000 with 8GB GDDR6. Together with extensive RAM, you can get the most out of the CPU. Depending on the graphics card you choose, you can do a lot with these notebooks: Gaming, rendering, video and image editing, and even more so basic office and leisure applications should not be a problem here.
