The Intel Core i7-11800H is based on the new Tiger Lake H45 architecture in the 10nm manufacturing process. It offers eight cores and thanks to the support of hyperthreading, 16 virtual threads are available. The base clock rate is 2.3 GHz and in turbo mode it even clocks up to 4.6 GHz. With such high clock rates, not only is the multi-core performance high thanks to the 16 virtual threads, but also the single-core performance.

In addition to WiFi 6E and Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4, 20 PCIe 4.0 lanes are supported, which is a very high value for a notebook processor.

The TDP is specified at 45 watts at 2.3 GHz base clock. Thanks to cTDP, the power requirement can be reduced to 35 watts, in which case the base clock is 1.9 GHz.
