The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 features four powerful Zen 5 cores and eight of the slightly less powerful Zen 5c cores, which are suitable for less demanding tasks or idle operation to maximize energy efficiency. This combination of multithreaded cores results in a total of 24 threads, which enables fast and smooth processing of data. The processor is also equipped with 24 MB of L3 cache, which makes frequently used data accessible at lightning speed. The standard TDP is 15 watts, but can rise to up to 54 watts in boost mode. In boost mode, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 can clock at up to 5.1 GHz, while the base clock is 2 GHz. This makes the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 particularly powerful compared to the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, which only reaches up to 4.5 GHz in boost with a higher TDP.

Better integrated graphics unit at the expense of additional functions

The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 comes with an equally new, integrated AMD Radeon 890M graphics unit, which is based on the RDNA 3+ architecture. This iGPU has 16 processing units and can clock at up to 2.9 GHz, which makes it ideal for editing multimedia content and also for playing not too graphically demanding titles on medium to high settings. In comparison, the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H has an Intel Arc 7C iGPU 2.2 GHz, which is well suited for office work and simple games, but lags behind the Radeon 890M in terms of graphical performance. Both iGPUs can drive four displays and are capable of ray tracing.
