Features
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 is a laptop GPU that was launched in spring 2021 and is the fastest mobile GPU at this time. Equipped with a whopping 6 GB GDDR6 graphics memory and a core clock of 1703 MHz, it is ready for all current and upcoming games.
The GPU is based on the GA106 Ampere chip, making it the third GPU from NVIDIA to be equipped with this chip. With PCIe 4.0, 192-bit memory bandwidth and eDP 1.4b compatibility, it offers support for the latest technical standards. The graphics card is installed in notebooks from 17" upwards.
High FPS in every game
As with all GPUs in this price range, the performance depends on the TGP variant and the cooling used. In benchmarks, the graphics card achieves high performance in all common games. New releases such as Outriders (2021), Hitman 3 (2021) or Cyberpunk (2020) can be played with at least 30 FPS in QHD. At lower resolutions, more frames per second can be expected in any case.
All GPUs in the RTX series offer G-Sync & ray tracing support - including the RTX 3060. Ray tracing is a method of calculating reflections and is supported by many new games. It offers breathtaking graphics, but some FPS must be sacrificed with this technology. The GPU also offers support for the latest DirectX API (12.2).
Avoid bottleneck effect
Of course, the gaming potential can only be fully exploited in conjunction with a suitable CPU. For example, paired with a powerful Intel Core i7-10870H processor.
